Why God did not forgive the Sin of Satan

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious and The Most Merciful. This question is asked by one sister in Islam and publishes by Bro Mas Yuri FCR Yahoo group. This is a very good question and obviously this sister is a seeker of truth. So I would like to share it with everybody.

We Muslim always believe that God Is Love and can forgive every sins except the Sins of Shirk (Q4:48) but why Allah did not forgive the sin of Satan for not paying respect to Adam PBUH? In order to understand this situation, we need to go back to the time when Allah created Adam as the first man.

Satan did not respect Adam for only one reason. He thinks that he is more honor compared to Adam as he was created from fire compare to Adam which was created from dust. This is what we call as jealousy and ego.

For example, Just take a look at your friend who has an ego characteristic. They will argue with you so hard even though knowing that they are wrong and their point is useless. So as Satan( instead he is more egoistic compared to man), he knows everything about Allah but yet he did not want to acknowledge Adam. It is not that Allah didn’t give him chance to repent but he refuse to do it. And in fact, he knows that the punishment for the rebellion to God is Hell fire but he still with his decision. To make you understand this, let us review what the Quran said:

Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. (Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgement." (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong,- "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." (Q38:71-85)

So from there, it is already clear that Satan knows himself wrong and sins against Allah. It is him who stubborn enough to repent. Meanwhile, Adam and Eve repent themselves after do wrong to Allah and Allah forgive them..

Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord Turned towards him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (2:37)

But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance. (20:122)

The question also rise again, why did he let people go astray and let the people follow the footstep of Satan? HE indeed give the clear answer and even Satan answer that question. Satan will lead astray people from the true path of Allah by the power of Allah. It is because, Satan himself is powerless. Then Allah said, people will go astray except those who is sincere in finding the truth and have faith in Allah and Islam. Allah keep sending us His messenger to remind us about the way to Him. [To be continued in post: If Allah is The Most Gracious and Merciful, Then why he Create Hell Fire?)
